In fact I suspect you get infinite goes.
Not in any controlled manner, pure chaotic randomness allocates your consciousness to a brain. Its happened before to every one of us.
Now of course, you would have to be profoundly lucky to end up as a human again. Without a brain you won't experience time, and so an infinite amount of it can pass before the conditions line up that you find yourself with consciousness. You might be an animal, an alien, or even in another viable universe. I imagine theres a level of complexity within a brain where real consciousness is captured, so I doubt you'd be an insect for example. Perhaps a bird or reptile tier organ.
* "you" in this sense, is referring to another entity and i dont believe any transfer of soul happens. Its just some material thats arranged to convince itself its more. Its not simple to find the right language to actually convery these thoughts. Also, this is pure conjecture.
