What part of it don't you understand? It just means that they're learning Bayes theorem for a bunch of As and Bs during training, then combining all the Bs to guess an A during inference. Or do you just mean ML in general?

Mainly choosing priors and how doing MCMC somehow results in a trained model. Traditional ML is really intuitive for me because it's minimizing an error surface to fit the data, but I've found it extremely challenging to develop that same kind of intuition about Bayesian ML.

Self taught as a hobbie since they were 8 years old. Clubs, forums, etc. You have to do a project instead of learning general theory. Books suck.

We learned the basics in school. Simple circuits with a light bulb, battery and wires while learning the wiring diagrams simultaneously. Then you add new things like a button, later on resistors and such things to it. Later on you get a soldering iron and create more complex projects on printed circuit boards.

It’s a pretty cheap hobby in fact. Even cheaper when you understand the basics and can just buy single units for your projects. At that point you are likely familiar enough with the subject to get into reading these books, though
