it makes sense because there is chaos and no god.
some genetic diseases are caused by a single base being wrong, one mistake that happens for no reason that leads to a being suffering for all its life and not reproducing

What exactly are you asking? This is a mutation that has a 99% chance of not being carried over. There is no "evolution" happening, just a defective gene(s) causing mutations that won't survive
