They have been conditioned to seek out those brief dopamine surges by their "smart" phones. Its essentially pavlovian programming, instead of creating excess drool at the hint of food, they create excess dopamine when their intellectual insecurity is triggered. the behavior is completely mechanical, there isn't any conscious thought process that goes with it, its just a chemical reflex.

Get off your ass and read books. Ideally start from foundations. Category theory is one of the most fundamental things that mathematics can be built in. The stronger your foundation, the higher you can build. The number one reason people struggle with calculus is they missed things in the preceding disciplines.

some people need more help than others. people who have a natural inclination put their whole self worth in that, because they're probably autists and hate their role on the totem pole. it's a language, any asshole can learn it with the right guidance. I was Cs in high school and pulled As every math course in college with the right teachers

Every math book I've seen uses paragraphs and is better formatted than any math website I've seen.
I mean, if you said you learn better from videos or interactive websites, I'd understand that, but this is just weird.

You can find math books that aren't as dry and are more conversational like a website instead of just definition, theorem, proof style many go with. You haven't mentioned what level you're at. I'm not aware of any websites at a very high level but you can try paul's online math notes(https://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/), mathematician twitter accounts like Daniel Litt's (https://twitter.com/littmath), or a couple different math blogs like terrance tao's (https://terrytao.wordpress.com/) or another one i can't remember the name of, I'll reply with its name when I do.
