If fusion is done properly there's no problem because it'll be in an isolated containment as well as have cooland around it. Which is what the scientists go off of.
The problem (which my thread was about) is that history has shown us with enough time accidents always happen. No matter where you look. Coal was safe until all the endless coal mine disasters. Nuclear was safe until the chernobyls and the fukushimas. History has shown the worst case scenario happens if you leave something long enough
