Tomorrow my part of the country gets its first full force Cat 1 Hurricane in almost 30 years. Next week will be our 4th heat wave of the summer with temps in the mid 90s -- shit that was unheard of even 10 years ago. Have these things happened before? Yes. But with this frequency all across the place?

What is it going to take to wake people up? Are we even able to mitigate / reverse anything at this point?
