>>13542178I know nothing about protection, but as far as side-effects go for the 2nd shot, my singular anecdote was that I had basically none besides the obvious sore arm. I also had a headache on the day of, but I get migraines regularly so I doubt it was vaccine-induced.
I say this as someone who actually experienced bad side effects to the 1st shot. That's the reason I spaced out the doses so far apart (10 weeks) - because I had such a bad reaction, I had my doctor do a checkup and run some tests on me, which took a while to get results.
Honestly I don't know or really care if this has given me "greater protection". I'm young and healthy, regularly exercise, hate hanging out with people, etc. I just did it to keep my position at the university.
