>went to online school
>complete shit experience, the vast majority of kids didn't attend the live lessons and it was incredibly easy to cheat
>some of the lowest test scores in the state
>managed to do proficient to advanced on state tests despite basically being self taught all throughout highschool
>took SAT and scored barely 65th percentile
>took placement exams for Uni and forgot large amounts of foundational mathematical content
Despite all of this, I still want to pursue STEM. Can I figure most stuff out just going to Uni? I've read all sorts of stories of like homeless people or high school dropouts who managed to get to college and actually do well in class. I have a decent foundation with algebra but practically no experience with calc besides complex numbers. I've been using lots of Khan Academy and doing some online course.
