Sinopharm is OK, my mom got it, no side effects, 79% effectiveness IIRC which is lackustre, but passable.
Sinovac, on the hand, is utter trash. 50% effectiveness with two shots. It's almost a placebo. The countries currently rolling out sinovac had a lot of issues, they are now demanding people get a third shot.
For comparison, Astra Zeneca has 74% effectiveness, while Sputnik has 91% effectiveness, Moderna has 94% effectiveness and Pfizer has 95% effectiveness
All these figures correspond to the alpha variant.
