What would your postgrad plans be? I got a major in the subject because I enjoyed it (and it is a really nice to learn), but the jobs you get with a biochem B.S. are pretty trash.

Here (latam) biochemists, farmacologists and phis guys have nothing to do because we don't have enough technology to do research

Only if you're willing to get a PhD afterwards because you hit a career ceiling very quickly if you don't have one. That being said, if you like biology, then biochemistry gives you the best chance at a job.
