We humans have invented tens of thousands of faiths. Science is just one of them. So what makes it right?

Science says that all outcomes of science must reach a predetermined conclusion, so don't pretend science is a method and not a faith

I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE because it gets results and doesn't require me to perform low-IQ mental gymnastics to accept it. For instance, science tells me that if I make an electronic circuit and do X, I can expect Y. And it fucking works. I don't have to "believe" in it for it to work or have every failure to obtain Y explained by science having "mysterious" ways. I also find science extremely interesting, unlike desert fairy tales that bore the shit out of me and to which I can't relate as a 21st-century non-Semite.

That Health Affairs paper is fucking infuriating. The fact they just rule possibly undiscovered genetic as:

Particularly when we know that there are genetic factors that have been observed, and do contribute to different health outcomes. Cholesterol and Sickle Cell Anemia both come to mine. This just fucking insane ignorance on display that helps no one and my very likely lead to WORSE medical outcomes in the long run.
