What does E mean in math? We never covered this in school. For example, if I have 2.12765957E-10, what does that mean?

it's shorthand for scientific notation
so
$2.12765957\:E-10\:=\:2.12765957\cdot 10^{-10}$

yeah that's right
no problem
I haven't seen the E notation too many places other than on calculators. It's just usually faster to type in the value, hit the "E" (or EE) key and then another number representing the exponent

The best way to look at E and one that is never taught is this:
If you flip an "n" sided coin "n" times, the probability it lands on any specific side is 1-(1/e)
