There's a reason they're in chemistry and not math or at least physics. I mean, look at the typical chemistry dude. He doesn't even change his underwear more than once a month, so don't expect a chemistry textbook or YouTube channel to be structured in a sensible manner, let alone rigorous.

I don't come here often but I thought it was a meme. Do people only ride it for being hard subjects, or do they actually like it? I only went to modern physics and I just didn't like it at all and I only got to DE/LA for math.

just more thorough breakdown of the chemical reactions I guess. Should've specified but I was more looking for something along the lines of why they are choosing certain reagents, as compared to others.

I feel like I need more context to your situation before I can give you advice. I don't know how educated you are, or if this is more for hobby.

Something that you can do is look for instructor led lab experiments. A lot of instructors had to go this route to guide students over distance learning during lockdowns. Look into reaction types further as a good guideline for why they use what they do during experiments.
