Organ transplants and memory transfer

It has been well documented that some instances of organ transplants result in the patient developing some sort of connection with the donor which can manifest itself in things as small as liking new foods they hated before (which the donor liked) or something as remarkable as recalling names and faces of people they haven't met.
Do any of you anons have links to studies that could show the reason behind this?
