Solve the spent uranium fuel issue then we can talk about nuclear. Noone wants spent uranium rods silos in their backyard. You cannot send it to Antarctica because it is a pristine continent with high scientific value and it is too expensive to ship it to space.

Do you have trouble reading graphs? Photovoltaics and nuclear are almost identical and CSP emits a fraction of the energy of either. Just use whatever is cheapest in the area. Protip: it won't be nuclear.

Yep, it's solar power with extra steps. You could plant a bunch of trees, let them store solar energy at around 10% efficiency, cut them down, chop them up, let them dry and season, then burn it for energy at roughly 33% efficiency for an overall efficiency of 3.3%, or we could just put up solar panels over that same area and get 20% efficiency, which is six times as much electricity.

Fucking tired of this argument. We can recycle nuclear waste and we would have if Jimmy Carter hadn't banned it. The ban is lifted now but the government doesn't help cover the reprocessing costs and companies dump it in silos because it is cheaper. Scientists and engineers have already figured out ways to solve the waste problem but it matters jackshit when retarded politicians continue sucking Big Oil's cock squeeze every last drop of money from the already struggling nuclear industry.
