>>13520315we need serious infrastructure such as nuclear reactors & tunnel boring equipment.
Once you get the first batch to dig a straight main access tunnel then it's a matter of bopping side rooms.
That would make the economy explode because then it would be a matter of people & entities paying the first batch to carve out rooms for the 2nd and 3rd batch who'll bring in stuff like life support & furnishing such as a bed that's not a stone slab.
I'm sorry if I sound like an annoying tunnel rat, but the internal volume of these rooms seem to be bigger than anything NASA has for individual habitats. These rooms didn't require millions of dollars to dig out as well. There's probably a few ten thousand dollars invested in the big room.
Most of the expense went into harvesting the marble as a product, if NASA didn't care about preserving the rock material it would be cheap to build the rooms. We're talking about invidual apartments that have higher internal volume than a midwest mc mansion being excavated for the price of a luxury car.
Try building a pressurized vessel that would sit on the surface of Mars for 80,000 or less. You can't, or NASA wouldn't allow you to.
