neurosurgery/psychosurgery needs to be reconsidered, it has to be seriously reconsidered by society, more than anything else it should have top priority.
even though our knowledge on how brains work are largely a blackbox we still have some idea on what makes someone 'smarter' like increased bloodflow and more brainfolds. im sure that with the even limited tools we have now we can do a lot to increase an adult human intelligence and mental health in general.
before you bring up lobotomy look at deep brain stimulation for example, why aren't people rushing to demand more from neurosurgery? it's clearly the way to go. ethical and political issues aside this isn't fiction we could probably ease a lot of mental issues much more accurately than with what we could do with chemicals. even with today's crude tools.
a lot of people complain from their ADHD here. instead heavily relying on stimulants imagine what we could do to stimulate your brain with a couple of neurosurgical sessions instead? sure it probably wont fix it but it would be a lot better than using adderall. and think of the opportunities that it would open to finally motivate those lazy greedy fuck heads in the medical industry to invest further into it which would yield better results in your own life time.
