I have an opportunity TODAY to buy old school computers in bulk for 1$ Each. As a machine learning student with decent experience would it be advisable to buy like 10-20 machines and make a cluster?
Probably Core 2 Duo or Penguin idk. Bit bulky for a cluster but learning is learning. Is this sort of task good for a cluster? Machine learning, that is.
I don’t want to waste my time if this won’t be useful for my future career/research. Clusters seem fun but there’s only so much time I have to learn stuff before I die.
