If the yellowstone volcano erupted, what would happen to north america, and especially what would happen to people living far off deep in the rocky mountains? Who would survive? Where would people have the best chances of survival also?

I imagine a lot of the fallout would be determined by atmospheric pressure, wind direction, and other weather conditions determining which direction the ash travels. Somewhere between "quite fucked" and "unbelievably fucked", I'd imagine.

Best chance of survival - as north or as south as it's possible to go. I'm sure Canada and Mexico would be happy to receive a couple hundred million refugees.
