This is a meaningless question because in the times of the internet and social media if collusion and conspiracies were actually occuring on a widespread, global level, we would find out right away. This is the biggest hole in conspiratard logic. If thousands of people are participating in some sort of global conspiracy, then how are they keeping it secret?

The main reason I went to graduate school is because I didn't want to get a job after I finished college. In grad school, my primary goal was get a job as a scientist after finishing. When I continued my research after getting expelled from college, it was a combination of my interest in the material and my desire to end up employed as a scientist despite my expulsion. When I solved the Riemann hypothesis, I was only thinking about money and I don't even understand exactly what is the application in number theory which makes it such an interesting problem. I could take a few weeks to work through it but it doesn't really spark my interest. I will probably get to it at some point if I get bored enough.

be it on purpose or accident but now in 2021 the internet isnt a legitimate place to leak secrets without actually documenting a shit load of evidence and going all in, which was how you used to do it before
