I am 20 year old, and I am not sure if there is future in software development. Is it a wise choice that I pursue a career in Computer science/Software engineering?
I am quite disillusioned if there is actually a point to learn programming and get better at it in 2021.
If yes then how should I proceed? I am a beginner as far as programming is considered, I only know some basic level of programming and text editing (HTML) I did in school. I have studied quite a lot of mathematics though (sets, Logic, proofs, combinatorics etc) and I am currently thinking to pursue a BS in Math & CS.
How should I start with programming basics? What language should I learn and what are the best resources (books, lectures etc) ?
I did check out a bunch of programming lectures online (on edx etc), read a bunch of articles etc and can't figure out where to start. One thing I understood that I will need a a lot of prolonged practice.
