>study habitsBrain learns best 4 hours before bed and 4 hours after waking up.
Brain can be trained to have intense focus periods of up to 4 hours, personally I do 3.5 but I started much lower and worked my way up. You need absolutely no distractions though, no phone, no food breaks, no 4chan, nothing.
Brain consolidates recently learned information better if it's in a theta/delta wave state. IE, during meditation or a nap. After my morning study session I would do a nap or 15-30 minute meditation depending on how I was feeling.
Spaced Repetition+Practice tests, every other study method is mediocre at best.
Exercise after studying boosts memory and exercise before an exam boosts recall.
>sleep habits8-9 hours, in a pitch black room, same time every day.
>proper exerciseThis is a pretty big one for people with an "AHDH" diagnosis, you need much more activity than the average person. That could mean 3-4 hours of walking or 1-2 hours of running/cycling 4-5 days a week. It's a lot but the benefits much more than just mental.
>>13507798My experience was very similar to OP, I was diagnosed with behavioral focus problems and my parents also choose to not put me on meds. My psychiatrist also didn't want to prescribe me meds until I tried basic lifestyle changes first and they ended up working.
