As far as popular science Blackholes always excite the minds of young people.
The constant appeal to fantasy with multiverse theories and quantum magic are really only to satisfy the imagination and cover the bases of what is plausible. Completely untestable but hey, Do you what to join the workforce as an "engineer"? or do you want to be the showman/ modern magician, who can sell tickets to reworked lectures and nu science that creates documentaries and fuels contrived 2000's sci-fi?
I understand what the OP is yargin' on about. Personally, I've had my fill of showmen and infotainment.
