In the population of under 50 year olds:
out of 147612 unvaccinated, 48 died (0.03%)
out of 25536 vaccinated, 13 died (0.05%)
Some factors that might explain why more "vaccinated" are dying:
- the population of vaccinated probably skews old (even in the < 50 population) therefore they are more likely to die from disease.
- you are more likely to get tested if you are unvaccinated, either because of mandatory testing that is waived for vaccinated individuals, or because vaccinated individuals may believe they are immune and choose to ignore covid symptoms. This increases the denominator in our computations making the percentages smaller.
I think the only way to establish any conclusion would be through a proper study.
