>>13510304Students should invest all their faith in Wildberger.
Forget about meaningless "axioms", "logic" and "reasoning".
Instead, go out onto the field and into the forest woodland.
Move a rock from its place of rest. Or a rotten tree stub. Push a brown slug a
little to the side. Behold what you find beneath it.
If it is a real number that you find, then preserve it carefully and bring it
back to your study room. You may now systematically investigate all
the properties of the real number which you found. Use a measuring tape to
ascertain its dimensions, and a scale for recording its weight.
Observe its vivid colours and its smooth texture.
If you manage to collect two of them, you can observe for yourself how they
add together, and even how they multiply together, to produce a new real
number. (You do have to be a little lucky for that one, as they can be a bit shy.)
Idiotic axioms and theorems will never give you this unique divine experience.
Therefore I tell you to follow the teachings of our revered guiding light
Norman Wildberger.
So forget about crappy math and go out there in the real world to do real things.
