You want to overcome gravity, and magnets wont do shit, since gravity and electromagnetism are not even related. To use the earths magnetic field to levitate you would need a world ending magnet, steong enough to fuck up everything metallic around you, and the earths magnetic field as well as you disturb it. You would look like a huge moon sized ball of attracted magnetic material.
