Pro-tip: We never do remove the pumps, because dry oil wells, always seem to have more... if we wait a little while...
I've heard that oil wells refill near to capacity after 50-70 years. The fossil fuel believers just think this indicates that oil from the surrounding rock is filling the empty space over time. Abiotic oil believers point to this, to indicate that oil is being actively produced under the crust and refills oil wells as it is produced.
