am seeing frequent posts(linking to outside sources) that the vaccines do not prevent the spread of the virus, only the syptoms.
does this not mean that even if there were complete vaccination then the virus would still be free to circulate and mutate?
please give a real answer. am not an antivaxxer, am just confused.

It does lower the spreading of the virus, it does not nullify it. The antibodies produced after antigen exposure from the vaccine lowers the viral charge, hence the vaccinated don't display pathological symptoms and are less contagious.

A more extreme mutation is required to turn an asymptomatic vax positive person into a coofer. While in an unvaxed they are more likely to be a coofer regardless no mutation required.
It's a leaky vaccine, and the best way to protect immuno compromised people is to not get the injection.

is there really a way to quantify contagion?
and doesn't this mean that there really is still a risk of significant mutation in a fully vaccinated population?
do vaccines for other viruses also allow spread/contagion or is this new/unique to these covid vaccines?

No, the best way is acquire full vaccination to eradicate SARS-COV-2, thus protecting immunocompromised individuals. That's the same reasoning of other vaccination campaigns

LSU gave the injection to their tiger mascot. IIRC, a survey of deer in Michigan showed 60% of them carry the virus. Guess the important question is can humans get it from other mammals. Haven't heard of that happening but I suspect no one has really looked into very far.

We long foresaw that the vax was going to create a situation which selected for virulence. The whole reason we're still in this mess is because of nations who had slow uptake of lockdowns. The whole reason we're entering this hypervirulent stage is because of nations(and individual retards) being too slow with the uptake of vaccines.
