>>13493291That's the point though. Pictures like the OP pic make it look like the person posting them is too stupid to get the concept of viruses mutating and breaking through existing vaccine protections if they aren't stopped.
If someone made the argument "it turns out the vaccine just makes you asymptomatic and you still get infected and infect others" that wouldn't look stupid. But instead people keep posting pics like that which say things like "why do you need me to take a vaccine for your vaccine to work lol." Which doesn't address the issue of vaccinated people still getting infected.
The conclusion that unvaccinated people aren't really the problem is correct but the reasoning why that's correct is wrong. The reasoning in these pics is that vaccines should just work no matter what happens with the virus which isn't true because viruses change and render old vaccines obsolete if the viruses still have a chance to infect and mutate.
That's what's annoying about those pictures. There's a legitimate argument to be made against vaccines but these pictures instead use stupid and wrong arguments which give pro-vax people reason to believe anti-vax people are simply ignorant.
