It seems to be a little-known fact outside vaccinology labs, medical journals, and a couple of science blogs that most of the Western vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, J&J, likely Novavax) don't use the same spike protein as the virus but a proline-mutated form that's intended to inhibit the fusion of the spike protein should it get away from the injection site. AstraZeneca is a Western exception, but I don't think even the anti-vaxxers have had concerns about spike protein multiplication outside the mRNA vaxes, which AstraZeneca is not.
