>the Universe will ultimately collapse and die
You don't know that, unless you profess to know everything, including the cause or contributary factors for the beginning of the observable universe. As no evidence exists for or against the wild claim I am about to make, any belief you have on the matter at all is a purely religious one, and your opinion has been justly discarded: Just as mass attracts mass, an "empty" universe explodes into a not quite so empty universe, when this happens, without fail, more anti-matter or matter is produced than its opposite, and the resultant mass expands for some period of time. Perhaps this expansion has an end, perhaps not.
Admit it - you have no clue how large the universe is, as if the observable universe wasn't big enough for you. You have no means of estimating the size of the universe, you have assumed its age based upon local factors and the assumed age of observable universe, your only shred of evidence being some equations that due to their small size seem to be good and seem to describe the universe at all times and - no get away from the black hole i'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt here - ahem, and the current motion again seems to imply that there WAS a big bang. We don't know anything, and all your thoughts are based upon ultimately worthless evidence. Now go invent something useful instead of worrying about things we could possible never know anything about.
