Went to the casino for the first time and made a profit of $535 from $200 playing blackjack. Can I expect returns like this every time? How do I avoid getting addicted to gambling? But is it an addiction if you are making money?

There are two possibilities here:
1. You got lucky.
Your net gain will be negative if you continue down this path.

2. Your strategy and skill in the game are actually good enough to consistently obtain a profit.

Now I ain't a betting man, but if I were to bet, my money will be safer going with the second option. Then again, you do you. There are people who can make a living off gambling.

I would never play blackjack, so I do not know how it works exactly.
Does the casino charge an hourly or a rake? I know that you can get
an edge by counting in general, but whether it is enough to sustain you
in the long run, while you keep a low enough profile to avoid a ban, I don't
know. Where do you live, do you play at several different casinos?

You cannot hide card counting; casinos have software tracking your every game and run your plays through classifiers that nail you every time. The best you can hope do these days is to take so little money from the casino that the casino thinks it's more profitable to ignore what you're doing than to kick you out. If you count cards in blackjack and then spend it all on slot machines, the casino will typically tolerate it since they're getting your money in the end anyway. But if you try to actually make a real profit, they'll ban you in the blink of an eye.

You can't hide it by going to different casinos either. Casinos all share information about card counters. They have high resolution video of your face and identify you the moment you step onto their property. They know when you've been counting cards in some other casino. They share this information with each other freely because it is profitable for all of them to coordinate in this way.
