Worst part being one breaking into the print at a critical point causing unknown variation in it. This sort of thing would require regular changing and pretty good confidence levels for failure. Quick looking shows artificial cilia is used for cilia scaled interactions like small fluid pumps.
Alright, so cross hatching on the cilia, like chicken wire, will prevent contamination at failure. Would that remove the advantages of the cilia itself?
