Have you already forgotten about the DARPA and HLS funding it has gotten? This place has a short memory.
I'm all for funding space development so long as there are results from that investment (I'm looking at you ULA / Boeing), it's just retards that think SpaceX would still exist if it wasn't for government funding that annoy me.
Musk himself has talked many times about how the last Falcon 1 flight had to work to get NASA funding or SpaceX would have been over.
