>>13477293I had an idea for an alternate history for a videogame, where as a result of Soviets landing on the moon and no USSR collapse, there is much, much more space development by the 2030-40s, a nascent self sustaining space economy, thousands living in space, nuclear and prototype fusion propulsion ect.
The big catch is that the cold war went hot and genetically engineered bioweapons (as well as nuclear war) have basically largely ruined advanced civilisation on Earth and made it effectively inaccessible to the spaceborne human race.
The game or story would take place in the wild west of this emerging and increasingly dominant human spaceborne civilisation, kind of like Metro2033 but on space stations and moon/asteroid/mars bases, including real physics and transfers for traveling around various locations in shuttles and ships.
