Is there a scale at which you can express the speed of light in, that it makes more intuitive sense, or at least from the physics perspective?

What we now use is kilometers and seconds, which were measurements used by other more earthly phenomena, like walking, and driving. 299 792 458 m / s just doesn't make sense. Lightspeed is also based on kilometers.

Analogous to this would be using Fahrenheit end Celsius for temperature which are more intuitive to humans, but don't make sense in the grand scheme of things, whereas Kelvin makes much more sense, since you start with 0, the lowest temperature possible in the whole of universe.
