How likely would be this scenario for humans and Covid?

I mean the chickens did not come up with the vaccine against Mareks in the first place. But chickens are not humans and so no one cares as much, because they are mostly bred to get killed before old age anyway.

But trying to find alternatives is also kinda of what i would expect if it would go down like that.

But the question was, how transferable would be this scenario in the first place?

the scenario is not likely as humans will likely find ways to mitigate increasingly virulent mutants without complying to the states politically conditional vaccines. The same way humans find ways to pay no tax despite ever increasing tax laws

I believe all of the current "big" mutants emerged before the mass deployment of vaccines. However, if the Marek's scenario is possible then the dice have already started to roll.

mareks disease is 100% mortality in unvaccinated over decades.
that won't happen because there are smarter humans than those trying to create a human mareks situation whereas there are no chickens smarter than the humans that created that situation for chickens

By "Marek's-like scenario" I mean mutations start happening via the same mechanism. Obviously it will never reach the same level of lethality, but it could still become a major problem.

Yeah, I think that was also mentioned in the other thread. It won't happen overnight, weeks or months. But humans travel more (not only internationally but also within their social circles) than chickens which could, may also accelerate the scenario.

it's actually the lockdowns that help the mareks scenario as we are delaying the establishment of natural immunity while maximising gene therapy adoption. If you give someone a leaky vaccine who already has antibodies and t cells they still have a broad sterilizing immune response, although ade and prion disease could still occur in someone with natural immunity

Covid vax is not leaky enough for this to be a concern. Breakthrough infections are rare, they are an exception, not a rule.
