I thought about this too, but I doubt the average is 120 for this job. Many phds and masters students compete to get data science positions so the average is prob 130-135. This is a great future proof job though so if your iq is at least 120 you’re set just take some moocs and have pet projects for your resume

data science is an easy in to most universities, since it has low admission requirements, so the IQ would be around average

However at the upper echelon of DS you have ML and AI which are at the higher ends of IQ, so if those are included the distribution would skew left

The work does pay well and is in demand however so as a vocation I would say it is generally good, but perhaps not as interesting as say AI,ML or pure maths
