>>13463163I don't want to vaccinate and I am in grad school for biology, but my program (UVM) is requiring it for all students. I will probably try and get the johnson and johnson vaccine.
This shit pisses me off so much though. I wish we could just talk about this on social media and in public, and hear voice from different side, but journalists, normies, and social media companies are completely against it. Most people who are """vaccine hesitant""" wouldn't even have any concerns if this issue wasn't being treated in such a heavy handed and politicized manner. If this were treated like any other disease and any other vaccine, everyone would be getting it, just like the polio, mmr, tetanus, etc. vaccines. People don't like to be told that they have to do something, and for very good reason. Namely, because we live in a modern liberal democracy where people are supposed to have rights and freedoms.
Anyway, I'm sure the vax will be fine and I wont have any issues, but I'm not so sure that the concepts of 'free speech', 'personal autonomy', etc. are going to survive the next few decades.
