You don't get a diagnosis for autism unless you are truly socially retarded and exhibit many negative symptoms that you cannot control. In other words, autism itself is largely purely negative, whatever positive traits are attributed to spergs are hardly of any importance given that non autistic people can have these traits too.
So to answer OP, not it is not desirable. What is desirable would be to not have autism but have some positive traits that are commonly attributed to autism (which you can have without being autistic). The "pros" which are very slight behavioral deviations from the norm do not outweigh the cons which are severe deviations that cause problems in every day life.
What you are referring to as "lower forms of autism" is essentially the same as asking "is having autism desirable if your autism is not actually autism?".
