Just switch captcha tests to require a bit of ad-hoc logic and we're good until real AI exists.

A human needs to come up with those logic questions, and pair them with solutions. Meaning there would be only a finite amount of questions, meaning someone will catalogue every one of them along with their solution and sell it to botters.

I could ask you to simplify it, solve, find the nth derivative, integrate, substitute, etc.
It's probably solvable sure, but it would be a hell of a lot of work.

A high schooler could get around that with SymPy and an OCR library. Math captchas will always be susceptible to bots unless you additionally tack on one of the standard image-recognition tasks, and at that point there's no reason to include the math part.

Once or twice, sure. But when you have to do it for literally millions of posts any scheme you're using can be mapped out and circumvented with something as simple as a lookup table and a simple CAS. You cannot automatically generate truly novel problems for each user while guaranteeing that they're actually solvable by the human that's meant to get passed them.

Not really, the image captcha was way more time consuming, especially the one with the images that faded out. Kind of unbelievable that some people are getting filtered, I'm not a genius by any means and can do them just fine.

I know this is 4chan but this is also the science and math board, you should be intelligent enough to look at 5 symbols and type them out. Literally the only time you should be upset over this system is when it generates 2 possible answers, which is exceedingly rare.

the system can still be solved with vectorization of adjacent borders for the first or the last character, or simply spinning until you get one without a slide (which shouldn't happen desu. If you are given one with a slide, you should always get one with a slide until you solve it)
