The Michelson-Morley experiment is simply a demonstration of relativity, and failed to disprove the light ether theory.
>First performed in Germany in 1880–81 by the physicist A.A. Michelson
>Einstein born in 1879
They didn't understand what they were doing because Einstein hadn't yet popularised the idea of special relativity.
>Michelson-Morley experiment, an attempt to detect the velocity of Earth with respect to the hypothetical luminiferous ether
>Einstein wrote, "If the Michelson–Morley experiment had not brought us into serious embarrassment, no one would have regarded the relativity theory as a (halfway) redemption."
This experiment has absolutely nothing to do with ether.
They couldn't detect the Earth moving through space because of relativity.
There is no reason that relativity makes sense with a wave/particle idea but not an ether model.

Quantum ideas are a vague and flawed solution.
Wave particle duality is not possible, light is simply behaving as a wave.
Light waves are similar to a sound wave in that it is a disturbance travelling through a medium.
The difference in power of different segments of the Electromagnetic Spectrum is equivalent to measuring of the volume of quieter and louder sounds.
To say light does not travel through a medium is to say light is not travelling through the universe, through space or time, as if it isn't real, despite our observations.
Relativity actually supports an ether medium model, explaining why light would travel at a constant speed in all directions regardless of the postion and movement of the observers.
