The behavioural changes which are manifesting in human societies through the regular prescription and use/misuse of stimulants, antidepressants, antipsychotics, anxiolytics, sedatives, hypnotics and benzodiazepines poses an existential risk.

The science is clear and there is too much to list but the emotional blunting which is sometimes also observed with use of anticonvulants leads to a measurable decline in pain empathy. Combinations of these drugs which are commonly prescribed reduce pain empathy to a point where we can't measure a baseline in studies. No one should be allowed on these drugs for more than 3 months this is so glaringly obvious even if you don't know the literature.
