I am looking for something which uses LaTeX, but not just plain LaTeX.
Using Ubuntu as daily drive so it can't be software for Window os Mac.

What is it for? Do you mean pdflatex?
If you use package
\usepackage{listings}
you can do
\begin{lstlisting}
Put your code here.
\end{lstlisting}
to create a copy of any software code in a pdf.

i pirate these things called 'pdfs' so i don't have to do this. i read the notes made by others, and pull stuff back up as i need it.

gave up on Kate plain text editor and used pen and paper for calculus. after calculus, found obsidian.md that can format mathematical expressions but didn't use it so.
