People in general like collecting things. It happens in all developed cultures, it's a really basic impulse for some reason. You give humans enough security that they don't have to spend all day not dying and they'll start collecting shit.

I have a collection of US State quarters via a
mail subscription. Had historical info and stamps
with it. About 15+ years of collecting and I was
done.

More to the point of this board, my collection
of math literature acquired through undergrad,
grad, and office-cleaning endeavors. I also have
some Dovers and a new Springer book not seen
here. The point is you're not too old to have
a collection, but every item you acquire better
have damn good history behind it. Mine does.

rather concise with good problems. Good as a
literal primer for number theory.

Pic related is my recent acquisition,
Handbook of Mathematics.
Extreme conciseness of topics with diagrams
and tables. Great reference for grad students,
scientists and engineers.
People pray to this for guidance and strength.
The one book I know that's denser and more powerful than my dick.
The fucking NYNEX White Pages of mathematics.
"Why would anyone need another?"
