In 3000 years from now, if Earth-descended intelligent life somehow still manges to exist somewhere, I suspect they'll have something closer to a definitive answer to this question. They won't be able to answer every question, but we might seem not that much better than the ancient Greeks to them. (Or maybe seen as much better than them but still awful)
