what are some high paying (300k+ or so) jobs for maths majors?
im 18 in highschool year 12. my dreams of medicine undergrad were snuffed by a mediocre UCAT so i think ill do maths CS or become a pilot now.
so what are some good maths/CS related jobs?
also is being a pilot a good idea because i think id be fine with that too if its 250k+ or so.

Get a BS degree in Math+CS then do a MS in mathematical Finance.Immigrate to New York, London, Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai, Hongkong, Franfurt or Zurich. It would be great if you study from one of these cities.

Get a job in the financial industry (Quantitative analysis, Risk management, portfolio management, hedge fund management) overtime build contacts, learn the business, get good, make bank.

This is your average Mathematical finance course curriculum. It's pretty clear that to apply for this you need a Math/CS/Statistics background.

Also Mathemarical finance is a professional degree so mostly only post grad MS degree courses are available for students with mathematical or CS background.

yeah we legit just finished vector calculus, now we're doing dynamics and kinematics. Pretty ez because all the theory is covered in physics anyway. We have an assesment for differential equations coming up, but we've been in lockdown so idk when tf that 's gonna happen

kinda similar to you I think, bach of science, physics major, then masters down the line. I found this sweet entry package at a certain uni that lets you get instant guarrenteed entry into your masters (not like skipping bachelors but you get masters on graduation of bach no matter what with full hecs support and csp and all that good shit). Also considering PhD but that's years away, shit could change for me idk

At undergrad level applied Math degree basically has two tracts Math + CS or Math + physics.

The Financial math degree is a professional degree, if you are interested in software engineering then after doing your undergrad in Math + CS get an MS in Computing, there are multiple tracts you can specialise in like cyber security, systems, data analytics, enterprise IT, financial technology, robotics and software methodology.

Just do CS only.And start leetcoding.Another anon told you to work in finance.I would not recommend it.Very few people make those outrageous salary and they usually work very hard and have to study at really good unis.Tech is far more driven by merit.Even no name college kids make it to the best companies.Also,the workload is lower than in finance.You might find the work a bit more meaningful too.
