No idea how big we could go but it you built it as light as possible I think you could get at least 50m walking around.

No. Beyond roughly 800 meters the elevator steel cables can no longer support their own weight. I'd imagine a tall robot would run into problems way before 2000 meters

i think if mechs get built theyll be like 5 metres tall or something, and used mainly for construction.

If it was mostly just support sure, you could make a mountain out of iron that's like 10km high so 2km would be entirely feasible. That being said it would probably be impossible to actually make it move, maybe very slowly with actuators pushing the thing forward in sections. The legs would have to be enormous to prevent it from sinking into the earth and most of it would have to be hollow and even the areas that aren't could still be easily damaged beyond repair by conventional weapons as well so it couldn't serve any practical purpose and merely be ornamental.
