Most things that are discovered in physics have been theoretically/mathematically proposed long before the experimental data. The experiments are there to proof that the theory is correct. It does not always work this way around ofcourse, but a lot of the time it does. There are a huge amount of metaphysical theories and if one happens to be correct (which has a high chance), it doesn't mean that metaphysics on its own can solve all our questions. I am against singling out certain areas of science as being this or that, we should go back to the days when al science was called philosophy and all scientists were philosophers so we don't get this bitch-fighting between different disciplines. Fuck economics tho
