How is this even possible? Did fish evolve at higher altitudes first, and then move down?

When they are little and agile the fish swim up the fall runoff while the snow is melting and the rivers are flowing at max capacity. Later in the summer a lot of these run off stream dry ups again and isolate the fish. However, forest agencies seed a lot of lakes lakes, often by helicopter, and especially if it’s a popular tourist area.

Oh I guess you said up a 100ft waterfall. Do you have any examples, because if it naturally got there I guess a bird could drop it, or there could be shallower run offs on another side

I always find it odd. Many Americans dislike Social wellfare and praise freedom, then They go Freedomoverfishing lakes, and government has to use taxpayers to artificially fill up the lakes. So basically the Govt is giving away free fish, but takes the extra step to drop them into water and have people fish them. Isn't that also a form of wellfare? kek

Birdanons almost have it. Typically the eggs stick to the legs of birds that are hunting for insects in shallow water, then they fly to another pond to hunt for more and the eggs wash off eventually.

I carry fish bros up mountains all the time. I strap a giant goldfish bowl on my back and walk one fish up the mountain at a time. They look really grateful when I put them in the pond, I can't stop.
